Course Format

Every athlete will run two prelim courses - A Speed Course and a Strength / Classic Course. Check the Event Schedule for your division’s timeslots. Please see the description and rules for each course below.

Prelims: Speed Course

  • Standard CNL rules

  • 1 Retry

  • This course is designed to be fast. Athletes will be given a very short time cap. The obstacles will be short, quick, and optimized for efficiency

  • There is no bonus point for full clears, no retry.

Prelims: Strength Course

  • Standard CNL rules

  • 1 Retry

  • This course is designed for more upper body strength. There will be some lower body obstacles on this course. Obstacles will be both longer and more difficult than the speed course

Scoring System

Finals Course (Top 5)

  • Athletes will be allowed 3 attempts per obstacle

  • Athletes must clear their current obstacle to advance to the next

  • If the athlete fails all 3 attempts, their run is over

  • In the event of a tie, the athlete with the fewest retries wins. If the tie still exists, the athlete with a faster time wins

  • Athletes final time is their time as of their last completed obstacle

  • No bonus point for full clear.
